COUNSELLING FOR ADULTS

Going to see a counsellor when we need support for our emotional and mental health should feel as comfortable and as normal as going to see our doctor for a broken toe!

LET'S END THE STIGMA SURROUNDING MENTAL HEALTH

People have been accessing counselling for thousands of years; yet in our modern world we still feel there is so much shame and stigma attached to accessing support for when we are struggling with our mental and emotional health and that can make us feel even more isolated from getting the support we so dearly need.

AOPEN BOOK COUNSELLING I aim to offer you the time and space set aside for you to explore what you are struggling with at this present time; working in the here and now.

Your counselling session lasts 50 minutes and your first session will normally entail as thorough assessment of why you have accessed counselling and what you feel your needs are; both of which will be reviewed periodically.

The length of time counselling takes depends on you and your needs; as we are all unique in our journey towards healing and personal fulfilment. Some people prefer a time limited service, whilst others find comfort in the knowledge that they have someone they can rely on every week to share their personal thoughts and feelings with, in confidence long term.

As a professional member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) my work with you is underpinned with an Ethical Framework which puts you first at the heart of your therapy and offers you a place to raise any concerns you may have about a therapist in the strictest confidence.

OPEN BOOK COUNSELLING is also registered with the Information Commissioners Office to give you peace of mind that I am only processing and storing your personal information with a legitimate business interest and you have the right to see any information I hold about you.

I am also DBS checked, insured and fully qualified in my style of counselling.

To book your first counselling session with me; please feel free to get in contact for a no obligation chat about how you feel I can support you now.
